My Alberta Adventure Prize Draw, Official Rules

1. Eligibility:No purchase necessary to enter or win. Prize Draw open to those legal residents of the United Kingdom aged 21 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of Travel Alberta ("Promoter"), its affiliates and subsidiary companies, agents and advertising agencies and the immediate family members (parent, child, sibling and spouse) of each of such employees are not eligible. Closing date for entries February 28, 2008.
2. Entry:(a) Entry begins at 2:01 p.m. on November 1, 2007 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. PST on February 29, 2008. You may enter the prize draw by completing the online entry form. (b) Promoter is not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, illegible, incomplete, or misdirected entries. No facsimiles or mechanical reproductions of entries will be permitted. All entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned; (c) Your entry will be disqualified if you (i) provide information that is incomplete, inaccurate or fraudulent or (ii) fail to comply with or attempt to circumvent the terms and conditions of these Official Rules; automated form entries from websites are not permitted
3. Prize Drawing:Promoter shall randomly select one (1) entry in Calgary, Alberta, on March 15, 2008 from among all eligible entries received by 11:59:59 pm on February 29, 2008. The chance of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone and/or email and must agree to accept the prize as set forth below, and will be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability release, and a publicity release. The "Forms" must be returned, properly executed, within twenty-one (21) days of notification or entrant will be disqualified. The companion of the selected entrant will also be required to sign an eligibility/liability release form. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted for any reason within forty-eight (48) hours, or is unwilling or unable to comply with these rules, the prize will be forfeited and another entry will be selected. Upon receipt of properly executed Forms and verification of full compliance with these rules by an independent judging organization from Travel Alberta International, the selected entrant will be declared the winner. The winner grants Promoter permission to use his or her name, photograph or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
4. Prize:Winner will receive one (1) customized prize package worth ten thousand Canadian dollars ($10,000cad) consisting of an Alberta vacation for two (2) adults traveling together including: (a) Round-trip airfare for two (Economy Class) to Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta, from stipulated UK airport; (b) hotel rental (one (1) double occupancy room (room and taxes only)); (c) Vehicle rental for duration of trip; (d) Activities included as chosen (a certain skill level may be required for different activities). Winner must select their prize package by September 30, 2008 with all travel completed by March 31, 2009. Winner's companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Winner and companion must have valid passports and visas, if required.
   All expenses other than those specifically referred to above including, but not limited to, all meals, beverages, hotel parking, airport taxes, gratuities, telephone usage, ground transportation to and from departure airport, travel health insurance, and optional vehicle insurance and fuel related to the car rental and items of a personal nature are the responsibility of the winner. No flight stopovers are permitted, Ticket is neither transferable, refundable nor upgradeable. Flight tickets are not eligible for Aeroplan points or access to Air Canada or other airline lounges. The prize package is valid until March 31, 2009. All travel dates are subject to availability. Any amendments to flight times, prize holiday itinerary or alternative travel arrangements made after the booking is confirmed is subject to agreement by the airline and/or holiday provider and subject to availability, and all amendment charges are the responsibility of the prize winner.
   Taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Transfer or substitution of prize is not permitted. Promoter reserves the right to substitute any element of the prize with a prize of equal or greater value due to unavailability for any reason. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel this promotion without notice or obligation. Prize package has no cash value and no cash redemption. The above prize description constitutes the expected prize details and all aspects thereof are subject to availability and subject to change. Some restrictions may apply. Winner will be provided with additional details after final arrangements have been made.
5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & RELEASE:By participating in the Prize Draw, entrants agree to indemnify and hold harmless (to the full extent permitted by law) the Promoter and its parent company, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, successors, assigns, agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders, and employees (collectively, "Releasees") from and against any and all injuries, losses, damages, claims, and actions of any kind arising from or relating to participation in the Prize Draw, or acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or nonuse of the Prize that may be awarded, including, without limitation, actual, direct, indirect, consequential, punitive, special, or other damages. Releasees are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Prize Draw-related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible entries; or for transactions that are lost, misdirected, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly, or are lost for any reason, including, without limitation, computer, telephone, paper transfer, or human error; or for electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction or error. If, in the Promoter's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Prize Draw, or if a computer virus, bug, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical difficulties, or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Prize Draw, Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to void any entries submitted fraudulently; to modify or suspend the Prize Draw; or to terminate the Prize Draw and conduct a random drawing to award the Prize using all non-suspect entries received as of the termination date. If the Prize Draw is cancelled, modified, suspended or terminated, notice will be posted on the Prize Draw websites.
   All entrants understand that travel, whether in civilized or remote areas and whether by plane, automobile, boat, raft, or other conveyance, or by foot, on land or water and in the air, contains some inherent element of risk of accident, illness, injury, loss or death, which may be caused by negligence, forces of nature, wild animals or other agencies, known or unknown. All entrants and the winner understand that these risks may be present before, during and after the trip.
6. PUBLICITY, PRIVACY & PRIZE NOTIFICATION: Except where prohibited by law or regulation, by submitting an entry, entrant grants the Promoter in the event he/she is a winner, a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use his/her name, character, photograph, voice, and likeness in connection with the promotion of this and other Prize Draws, and entrants waive any and all claims and/or rights to receive any royalties or other compensation for the Promoter's use thereof, unless prohibited by law. Winner will be required to complete, sign, notarize and return an affidavit of eligibility/liability release and a publicity release, which must be returned, properly executed, within twenty-one (21) days of issuance of Prize notification. If these documents are not returned properly executed, or are returned to Administrator as undeliverable, or if any given prize winner does not otherwise comply with the Official Rules, the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. By submitting an entry, the entrant consents to the processing of his/her personal information in the manner described in the privacy policy.
7. Taxes:The winner alone is responsible for reporting any taxable benefits received from Promoter to relevant Tax authorities as a result of winning this Prize Draw.
8. Entries:All entries become the property of the Promoter and none will be returned.
9. Legal Compliance:This Prize Draw is subject to federal, state, and local laws and governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta.

11. The mention of any individual or group, or the inclusion of a product or service as a Prize, does not imply any association with or endorsement by such individual or group or the manufacturer or distributor of such product or service and, except as otherwise indicated no association or endorsement is intended or should be inferred.
