My second time applying and it's gone to underwriters again! For a "random audit"

So this is my second time applying for a mortgage after I applied last year and was declined and put onto a fraud list.
After almost a year of getting the go ahead I have applied again.
So the broker I have used this time put everything through called up halifax and said that's it's all gone through and offer is ready subject to valuation. 
Valuation was done last week but now has been pulled "for a random audit check" again.

I currently work 2 jobs one is a big company and the other is a small business. From my understanding they seem to be not happy with the small business. 

What are the checks they need to do and is this a way of them just swerving application and declining it on a technicality. 

I've given all my payslips and p60s all adds up. So im unsure what will happen. 

Anyone have any idea of advice what is happening.

If they wanted to decline you, they wouldn't go through the charade of a fake audit.

It's not like your friend pretending to be ill so they don't have to see you. They would just decline you.

A random audit is just that - an audit of the application.
