Rock Legends at Rockfield
by Jeff Collins

This is the brilliantly entertaining story of one of the most important recording studios in British rock music history.
The list of artists to have recorded at the studios is a veritable roll-call of rock royalty from Queen to Motorhead to Oasis to Rush to Robert Plant. The book features various war-stories from many of the bands that have recorded there and fascinating episodes from the studio’s illustrious history, such as this particular nugget from Black Sabbath
"One of Sabbath’s Long time roadies, Graham Wright, is heading out for some air when he spots Ozzy running back up the riverbank looking terrified. The self-proclaimed Prince of Darkness has been spooked. He’s screaming at the top of his voice “He’s trying to bloody kill me!”. Graham looks around for the source of the terror and there chasing Ozzy, as fast as he can go, is a swan. The bird had leapt out of the river and taken an instant dislike to Ozzy, who hares past Graham towards his car. Ozzy always keeps a shotgun in his car."
Chapter titles in the book include Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Ozzy's Causing Mayhem At Rockfield, Hawkwind Ivent Space Rock in Wales and Motorhead's Painful Birth at Rockfield so if you want rock's best war stories and an insight into the recording process of some of rock's most important records then get yourself into this competition.
