The winner and a guest will spend three nights, B&B, in the five-star Hôtel de Toiras, on the ever-fashionable Ile de Ré, near La Rochelle, France. This elegant Relais & Châteaux property is on the quayside in the harbour town of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, with the boats and bustle out front and a tranquil garden and swimming pool at the back.

Inside, the style is more chateau than seaside chalet, with lush fabrics and archive wallpapers setting the tone. At the Table d’Olivia, Thibaut Peyroche’s cuisine focuses on fresh seafood and “forgotten” vegetables, and gourmet picnics are available for those who want to get out and explore.

The prize includes return flights from Stansted to La Rochelle and transfers, and must be taken between April 2020 and May 2021, subject to availability and excluding July, August and bank holidays. It must be booked at least three weeks before departure.
