How long do Amigo actually take to contact the Guarantor

On Monday I applied for a loan through Amigo with a friend but due to him living with parents we couldn't be accepted for it.
When I was told I was accepted but he wasn't they texted me saying that if I can get someone that owns a home they'll pay the loan out in 24 hours.
The same day a family member said they'll act as my guarantor as he's done it for a friend in the past.
The same day I got a text saying that he's also been accepted and we'll be calling within 48 hours.
We've not heard anything yet I was just wondering if anyone knows how long Amigo actually take to do this and actually pay out the loan?

Do your friend a favor and cancel the loan.

    Ring them.
    What's the loan for ?
Are you aware of the consequences (more what would happen to your friend ) if you don't pay 1 month ?

  • Friends + money = trouble. What APR are they charging you? whatever the loans for can't you save up?

Guys, it matters not what the money is for, we all know it's 50% interest....

OP WILL default and poor sap (guarantor) will end up pating for it....poor sop

OP, as above, you are with Amigo rather than HSBC as you will likely default. Does your guarantor understand that when you do they will have to pay the loan themselves?
As they have better credit than you, why not get them to take out a cheaper loan in their own name?

That is the advice generally if a guarantor comes on here asking that or cheerfully decline to help.
