In limbo

So I submitted my application, had a response back on the 5th saying approved and since then nothing. I'm still getting payment demand letters, emails, texts from creditors. Which I'm not stressed about as I've personally seen my name on the insolvency list. So I know it's real. My current account is still active, it's on my creditor list so I know will be frozen eventually. I know it takes time but I'm in limbo and don't really know what to do?
I opened a basic account with tsb (who is not on my list of creditors) on Monday but am too frightened to pay what little cash I have into it, incase it gets frozen. I called them today, they have no notice of me being bankrupt and couldn't give me advice on what to do officially, they just said if it was them they'd wait. Which is fine, but I have DDs due on the 15th. And if they go out of my current account seem as its not frozen yet, am I at risk of 'getting into trouble'. Although I'm sure they would bounce as the account is at its limit, but you never know.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar situation and what do you think?
I just want to get a new account set up and make sure my DDs are switched over and move on with life.

Why would you be in trouble if direct debits go out ?
your too late to switch direct debits for 15th. Depending on what they’re for it might be a good idea to call them and explain (1 direct debit not going to plan isn’t that bad, especially if you can pay some other way)0 -

I can pay the DDs over the phone via my partners account. As I can give my partner the cash.
I think I'm more over worrying about my new basic account getting frozen. As I've read it's happened to a few people. Maybe I jumped the gun opening one before I heard from my official receiver.0 -
Ok so ask your bank to cancel the direct debits, call the companies concerned and offer to pay by card
i don’t think you jumped the gun really. I’ve not seen much re TSB but sounds like they’re ok (they’ve not said we will close your account, so there’s hope). If they close it your no worse off really. Give them a week, if they can’t give you confidence then I’d look at another bank0
