Mortgage with ex spouse

in Reclaim mortgage fees, council tax, etc
20 years ago I left now ex husband.  I was unable to get him out of the house which had a mortgage on it and still does which is now seriously in arrears and affecting my credit score.  The mortgage company have had a repossession order for eight years and done nothing about it.  Help
