Best IVA Company

Good evening everyone,

Please could you help me out with your experiences of different IVA companies. I don’t want to choose a cowboy untrustworthy company. Thank you.

Find one that is FCA regulated and have professional indemnity insurance.  ;)
    • All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
    • When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
    • "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere

Also worth bearing in mind the IVAs can be sold on, the company I used did have a good reputation for being good to deal with as they were a smaller company, they sold on a lot of IVAs en masse, which upset a lot of people.

I notice from the IVA vs bankruptcy thread, nobody mentioned the possibility of an IVA failing. An IVA can fail if you circumstances change for the worse leaving hiununable to make repayments. Conversely if things improve you can end up paying back more than you first thought

National Debtline (a registered charity) can help you to set up an IVA by referring you to an insolvency practitioner from a list of providers who follow good practice guidelines under the IVA Protocol.  Give them a call on 0808 808 4000
