Book win - no idea from where it came

I have won a book The Dilemma by B A Paris, firstly thank you for whoever posted the competition, secondly I've no idea where it came from though as no covering letter , compliments slip etc and feel rude not being able to thank the prize provider. Is this the norm to just send something out? Thank you Suzy
