Halifax only want latest payslip

Hi there
I have submitted an application yesterday via broker to Halifax. They only wanted latest payslip and no bank statements. I have been really careful last 4 months about my spendings, paid off all credit cards apart from one loan.

The only thing is that this is my first job after maternity and only have two months wages worth+ statements to prove the evidence of my income. My broker chose a lender that doesn’t ask many question ( suits me). Do people have experience getting mortgages with just latest pay slip and no bank statements? And more importantly not 3 payslip? I have excellent score at all three credit agencies and regularly check it.
Thank you

I believe what they ask for will vary depending on how much you're borrowing/compared to income and what their initial scoring indicates as to risk - don't forget that they also check reference agencies and get a lot of info from the actual application; plus they might yet ask for more documents if needed.
If your broker is half decent then they won't have submitted your application unless they were confident you met the criteria for the product and had the required documentationThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

A number of lenders only ask for 1 payslip these days.Remember they have many internal systems that access data such as links with HMRC directly and several credit / fraud databases.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I mean they can check my income for the past year with HMRC but not much there0

The Lender will notice that the income year to date on the payslip does not fit and will query why.
Provided your Broker is smart enough to manage this when they call the Lender, the case will be approved without delay.
Your recent post suggests your Broker isn't smart. It is fairly obvious why the payslip does not 'match'.I am a Mortgage Broker

Your first paragraph says you have been asked for your latest payslip. Which you have.
All of your second paragraph seems irrelevant.
Why are you worrying about other payslips you may or may not have, and your employment history/details, irrelevant credit scores etc. when you have provided what is required?Feb 2008, 20year lifetime tracker with "Sproggit and Sylvester"... 0.14% + base for 2 years, then 0.99% + base for life of mortgage...base was 5.5% in 2008...but not for long. Credit to my mortgage broker1 -

I said I only have two month worth of payslips as I am coming from maternity leave and asking what exactly does Halifax require. They only asked to submit latest payslip. Some lenders ask for P60 etc. my MB reassured me ad long as it is permanent position, which can be confirmed by HR,there are no problems. I can wait till I work 3 months but do not want to lose on the house.
If it is a brand new job rather than a return to work then it will be fine and no further questions are likely to be raised.1 -
