I want a good price for a Man City birthday cake

My son's 7th birthday is coming soon and we want to get him a City birthday cake. I could go to the City Shop but I can imagine they will rip us off. Does anyone know of any other good places to get one.

Try your local college and ask anyone on the cake making course if they fancy some extra cash, probably a lot cheaper and nicer.2p off is still 2p off!0

Don't Asda or some of the other supermarkets take a photo, print it on rice paper or whatever then lob it on whatever cake you wish reasonably cheaply? Could even do the cake yourself I guess and then get the rice paper picture bit from supermarket0

You used to be able to get these in Tesco, although it's a long time since I've been down the cake aisle, so I'm not sure if they still do them. It wasn't every club though.Make £2025 in 2025

Hear hear!! We need the money now we've got £750m of debt...
It seems like you live in Manchester given that you're considering going to the club shop. I reckon your best bet is to give a few cake shops in the local area a call and see if they do City cakes - I'm sure you'll find a few that will
Not sure exactly where you are, but if you're South, try Cheadle, Gatley, Stockport. Or I'm sure you'd be able to get one in the Arndale, Trafford Centre, somewhere like that0 -
Have you tried CostCo? If you're a member, or know someone who will go with you, they do huge cakes or little 'uns with the personal ised rice paper thingy as mentioned by Woby_Tide. Or try Tesco, but I'm not sure all of them do it. The big ones should - like New Tesco @ Portwood, Stockport.
By god, I've just realised - I'm helping a blue, maybe my husband's subliminal coersion is finally working! AAAArgh :eek:0 -
As Woby tide said, Asda do cakes for either £9 or £10 (can't remember). You take in a photo (I just printed one off my pc on normal paper) amd they print that onto the 'icing' layer on top.
They are fab - we did one with a photo of our son. Got it done at trafford park asda, at about quarter to 10 at night,no probs!*** Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly ***
