Council Tax Band Issues - they won't listen

There are a few houses in our road which have been massively extended. For some reason ours is in that Council Tax Band, yet is nowhere near that size or level of extension. So we asked, and their argument is that we have a double garage. But the garage isn't a double for us, it's one garage is ours and one is the neighbour's and that's how our houses join up. They won't listen when we try to explain this and we already appealed. Can anyone advise of any suggestions please? Thanks

This is one of the few cases where your MP needs to be involved. Write to him/her explain that your garage is single and the VOA do not believe this and ask the MP to write to the VOA and tell them that their records for your home appear to be incorrectIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
