I need help and advice from someone about northern rock. I have been on a dmp since april with no problems at all then I get a letter from northern rock wanting financial update in sept. When they realised that no increase in payment was forthcoming they phoned me saying even a £5 would do if I sent it separately from the cccs. I sent them a recorded letter stating the OFT section 2.5 and 2.6f (they cannot hassle me for payment) and received a confirmation that my complaint would be dealt with within 8 weeks! Today I received a letter saying I now have to pay them the full payment amount and when I phoned them to say I cannot increase payment at the moment the guy started telling me how I could cut back with certain things and if I did not pay extra they would put a charge on my house. He would not give me his name when I got mad...CCCS say ignore them and the debt will likely be passed to someone else, but I find it hard just doing nothing. why can they not be happy with the payment they get every month?

I think the advice from CCCS is sound, all creditors will from time to time try to accelerate repayment of debt, and NR are trying to scrape together £24bn to repay their debts:D[strike]Debt @ LBM 04/07 £14,804[/strike]01/08 [strike]£10,472[/strike]now debt free:j

they were obviously happy with my SOA 6 months ago. I just do not want to be taken to court. Thanks for advice0

Its ok Blair Oliver Scott were taking us to court and that would mean there would be added costs incurred by us. We said ok fine our payments are £x and SOA shows thats all we can afford. Strangly enough they've backed down, payment set for another 6 months.
The treats can be scary at first but as long as you are doing your best all they are is threats.Barclaycard 3800

going to court is scary as I live in a small place where everyone knows everyone and will probably find out.Even though I have had my LBM I still feel embarrassed about my debts and have only told my partner about them.
I still find it sad that companies continue to hasle people even though the OFT states they are not supposed to do this.0
