Direct Debit refunds

When I moved house my electricity bill with Eon was in credit. They say they refunded me by cheque but as I paid by Direct Debit I thought they had to refund me direct to my Bank account?

A refund by cheque is acceptable.

Cheque refunds are quite normal. No rules that say it has to be by direct credit.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
