Gifting money overseas

My UK based mother in law has three grown up children, each with children of their own.  Two live in the UK while the third lives in USA with their family.  Are there any different tax and inheritence implications for her gifting money overseas?

    Not for her , no.
Whether there is a difference for the person in the USA receiving the gift would depend on any American laws regarding tax on received gifts (sorry, I've no idea what - if any - there are)

This is a UK forum, doubtless there are USA websites better able to advise you....consider using google so you can find them and read up on USA tax law ...
