Jury summons sent to wrong address

I was summoned for Jury duty a few months ago. The date for court appearance was at the beginning of December. Today I went to my old house to get some post relating to my car (just realised I hadn’t updated the address on my tax book). I was met with 3 letters regards jury duty and one with a fine and a final notice to take action before being taken to court. (14 days were given but this is over a month ago now).

I haven’t lived at this address for almost 2 years and I also updated my address on the electoral register as well as my bank, driving license etc when I moved almost 2 years ago! I don’t understand why this has been sent to the wrong address?

Am I going to have to get a solicitor and attend court? Is this explainable over the phone? I know my electoral address is definitely correct as I’ve received my voting cards and been able to vote from my current address.

Also even if I had have received my jury duty to the correct address I don’t think I could have attended anyway due to being off on maternity at the time and being a breastfeeding mother. I am starting back to work next week, and if I am still required for upcoming jury duty I have no problem. I just don’t want to get in trouble or have to pay for a fine that’s not my fault!
What should I do next? Can I get this sorted? Will this affect my credit score?
