Mortgage appointment by telephone

highndry

I have had a mortgage agreed in principal with First Direct bank. I have supplied all the necessary paperwork and had credit checks carried out, all Ok.
First Direct have now set up a mortgage appointment by telephone to move things to the next stage. Can anyone advise me of the questions they will ask at the telephone appointment please as they already have all the information on my finances etc? I simply want to be prepared to
make things as smooth as possible.
Thanks

Be prepared to justify all details and outgoing in your accounts for the last three months. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Thanks Zagubov.
That shouldn't be a problem, I'm just worried they throw a curved ball that I'm not prepared for.0 -
They'll be thorough with their security and financial questions but I don't recall any unusual or weird questions.
They'll phone you back later and may negotiate the amount they can loan you.
They're a bit picky but if they take you on the rate will be competitive.
If you have seen competitive rates elsewhere you can quote but would prefer FD because of their good reputation for customer service don't forget to mention that. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
