hi simple question in section 3.3 of form R40 do i put the full ppi pay out or just the intrest paid to me because the payout was taxed at 20% for the full payout not just the intrest thanks

Are you sure about that, you would be the first person posting on here who has had tax deducted from the PPI refund.
Everyone else has only has tax deducted from the statutory interest/compensation.2 -
your correct its me being a donut lol so based on that i just add up all the statutory interest/compensation from all the payouts and put in box 3.3 total tax paid in box 3.2 and box 3.3 - box 3.2 in to box 3.1 dont you just love how easy the tax man makes it. thanks for your help very kind of you.

To be fair some people massively overthink things

An R40 is for a particular tax year so if the amounts you are adding up were all paid in the same tax year and that is the tax year your R40 is being completed for then you are correct.0
