Halifax remortgage question

Hoping someone can help - I’ve searched and searched the forum and I’m still confused :-)
I am in the process of remortgaging from Santander to Halifax. I received AIP on Saturday 29th, identify and income details were confirmed on Monday 2nd, a valuation visit was carried out today and I spoke to someone at Halifax this afternoon who confirmed that the valuation was the same as I’d suggested, that I’d receive an email confirming this and that everything looked good to progress - we’ve been rated as ‘A’ internally, although I don’t know what this means.
My Transunion CR shows a hard search carried out by Halifax today, but my Equifax and Experian CRs only show soft searches. I’ve not checked my husbands yet (it’s a joint application).
I received an email earlier today advising “ The property assessment has now been carried out (for mortgage purposes) as part of your remortgage application.
We're happy to confirm that we can proceed with your application for a loan of £(amount requested in application)
We'll send you an email shortly, if we require any further information or to confirm next steps.”
Does the above mean that we have passed the credit checks and the application is in the final stages now, or could it still be rejected for some reason?

Yes it could be rejected but try calling your adviser at Halifax and ask them the position. My adviser at Halifax was very helpful when I could get to speak to him, not a fan of their process to actually speak to someone, probably the same as all the other lenders though.0
