Mortgage with CCJ

I am currently in the process of trying to set aside a CCJ issued to me but it was fraudulent, the problem I am having is I am trying to buy a second property, the ccj has been issued in less than 6 months, I am struggling to find a lender that will touch me with the ccj being so new and without removal (which is taking forever) I am at a loose end. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Any advice?

Amount of the CCJ? And assuming this is ID theft from the way you say it's fraudulent.

It’s £800 and yes sorry ID theft. A broker a tried using is offering to provide me a letter to say I have been financially qualified by them and I can borrow £xxxx amount. But they are saying this would buy me time to get to the 6 month time frame or until I can successfully get this removed.Whats_your_forte said:Amount of the CCJ? Done a few of these. I personally would be hounding the company that registered the CCJ. These can be cleared up in 7 days and as long as the new lender uses new data from the credit reference agencies. Last few we did were a case of putting a lot of pressure on those supplying the data and all were removed. The 7 days is usually a refresh of the credit files so a lender can see it has gone.

I have provided them with all the proof of the ID fraud they need, I call them and email them every single day (with proof) and all I am being told is it’s being investigated. I have a crime reference number. The frustration is that my credit history is faultless apart from this and yes I’m furious about the higher interest rate but I didn’t want to lose out on this property. Which looks like I am going to without removing this ccj! Thanks for your advice I’ll keep hounding them!Whats_your_forte said:Done a few of these. I’ve just sent the forms off with the fee but have been mainly dealing with the debtors.Thrugelmir said:Have you not applied for a set side through the courts?0
