catherinekate said:No Ins and no UUs here but wondercollie I had to respond to your knickers comment . . . I have 29 pairs, I counted last week. I keep mending them and therefore they are going to last forever. I am going to be 105 and still wearing ones that say "Tuesday".
Slightly more on topic, my setting powder is making my face look cakey and lined. Has anyone found differences between different ones? I always assumed that they were all the same and am currently on a Max Factor one. I don't want to start experimenting if it's not worth it.
I've been going down pricewise in my make up purchases. Have you tried any of the Essence products. I finished a face powder from them that I really liked. I'm currently using their eyelash primer and loving it. Nothing is terribly expensive and it's all made in the EU. I have a fear of made in China makeup.

wondercollie - where does your friend leave her dirty knickers? I'm not a knicker hoarder although I do have plenty, I have nice ones and ones that are starting to fray a bit, I send them off for ragging (washed) when the elastic goes or they are just very worn.catherinekate - I don't use much powder and don't actually find it cakes, do you think you might be using too much?Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Wondercollie-- unfortunately the quality of the material is really bad and does not last long. Cotton used by primark and Tesco are so poor quality in some of the packets that they only last a few washes. It really annoys me as the quality is so poor that your lucky to get a few washes before the elastic goes or cotton shinks, seems give way.
Lidl quality seems to be best for cotton underwear. Is there any other good quality brands that last?
I tossed out a lipstick that I lost the lid. It was old and found on a declutter.4 -
Catherine/Kate I find that the powders can be cakey if new with too much on the brush. It can be cakey if the foundation and moisturizer is too wet on the face and not absorbed in.
I heard that some of the powders are more finely milled like Charlotte tillbury, it might be worth testing it. Mac powders seem to be very easy to use and don't cake much in my experience.4 -

And I'm in for March - albeit slow to declare!
Would like to UU:
L'Oreal Eye makeup remover
Mini Clinique liquid facial soap
Molton Brown handcream (Actually I'd rather NOT use that up, but I need to!)
And make a good impact on:
S&G Righteous Butter
S&G Original Pink body spray
S&G Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss
Might need to take a view on changing mascaras as the one I'm using is a bit old.
Also might consider switching out the Righteous Butter for a body lotion that's been kicking around for a while - I looked at it yesterday and it's only got about a quarter left in the bottle.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH - I like M&S knickers apart from the seamless ones, I bought a pack of those and they were quite pricey, the top just started to fall apart after just a couple of washes.

I've have had another declutter. I keep doing these as I find it too hard to get rid in one go of all the things I just never use for one reason or another, guilt is a lot of the reason. I will do a list from memory:Half a tube of Clarins Beauty Flash BalmElizabeth Arden GWP mini Eyeshadow quadEstee Lauder GWP Eyeshadow DuoHalf a set of brand new uSpicy makeup brushes, a brush roll, 2 mini Bare Minerals kabuki brushes and a Bourjois bronzer brush - these have been donated.9 grotty makeup brushes - binned6 mini makeup brushes from palettes - binneda very old and grotty Calvin Klein toiletry bagAvon Wild Bergamot EDT - to DDLaura Mercier mini Caviar Stick in Sugar Frost - I have tried with this for the last week and it is too glittery. Also got rid of one in Ganache as it is too much of a reddish brown for my colouring.Laura Mercier Glam to Go palette - very bulky and I'm just not using it.2 large jars from candles that used to store brushes and a Vichy tin which stored toolsBrand new Essential Care eyeliner - donatedBrand new Model Co peach cream blush - donatedDior Rosy Tan palette - old and I don't rate Diorthat is all I can remember.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I can co-sign Asda for good quality knickers.
UU:
Black volcanic soap from Greece - WNBA, lovely moisturising soap but gets too messy in the shower.7 -
I have been considering that the small decluttering is easier as it allows consideration of what to keep and give away. There is a theory of change that includes precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance. Once we are progressing through the change cycle were are doing well. I am hoping for progess not perfection.
It takes bravery to let go of a treasured item, memories of where it was bought, who you were at the time and hopes we had when purchasing it. Our makeup is more than eyeshadows, it is a collection of memories and pampering.
2 recent in were gallet and Roger perfume on sale at half price.
I am going to throw away the urban decay pallette as only 2 dark shades left and they make me look tired now. I've gotten my money worth from it but need to let it go for something more bright now.

TA Roots Intensive Spray - I think this has gone off. I have learnt my lesson re: panic buying random hair products/emotionally spending on them. I guess this forum will keep me accountable on that!
UU: LUSH Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar. -this was good, bubble bars are so much better than bath bombs I think, you can get so many uses out of them. WDBA
