Frozen pension

Hi
I have a frozen pension at work. They are now offering an enhanced rate to move this pension. I am wanting to take 25% out this pot tax free and move the existing pot.
I want to know can I move the remaining balance of the frozen pension. To a pension I already have in place. Or  what is the best advice to take
Regards
Ian

  • Is it a defined benefit pension (often referred to as final salary) and if so what is the transfer value?

Frozen has a specific meaning.  It indicates a certain type of pension which does not allow the taking of 25% tax free cash by itself (it also doesnt have 25% tax free cash).   Are you sure you mean it is frozen?
What type of pension is it?  (one based on years of service or one that has investment funds)
