You have had that advice, from more than one person. The pertinent question now is why, rather than acting on it, you are throwing your toys out of the pram.workerdave said:Hi Scrimps - I was asking re the behaviour of the bank, as their refusal to reduce the overdraft has enabled me to stay in it. Surely this indicates that I can pay it back - it doesn’t need to become about statements of affairs//what I earn etc, I just wanted some advice about the bank.

Lloyds quite happily let me reduce mine online without an issue. No idea if it's just treated as a reduction or a new overdraft, but the reduction is applied instantly and my credit record isn't great.
