Home insurance

Hi our mortgage advisor advised us to get home insurance in place for the property we are buying. We haven’t had a mortgage offer yet and worried that there will be more footprint on our credit files. He did so a quote from the insurance they provide.

Would looking for more quotes affect it bearing in mind we opened a joint current account yesterday and my partner also opened a current account with them yesterday.
Thank you

I think it only results in a credit search if you go ahead with a specific application and that includes credit i.e. you want to pay monthly rather than upfront. Using the comparison sites doesn't do anything (you don't need to put in personal details for those anyway).
