help needed with lego star destroyer good deal search

Dear All, please can anyone help me find a star wars lego imperial star destroyer[slightly smaller version] at a decent price.Only a few weeks ago both Argos and Amazon had it for £59.99, then it jumped to £63.90, then 2 days ago to £69.99 and now today[payday] it is at £79.99:eek:. Our budget is £65 tops and our son has only put this one thing on his christmas list. Please if anyone knows where a good deal can be found let me know. Many thanks mega bargain hunters.

I have had a search too and can find it no cheaper than amazon I am afraid. The same thing happened to us last year - purchased a lego set and then they dropped the price... if only I had known about their price drop refund policy then...

I have searched high and low and even taking into account voucher codes and quidco on other sites, Amazon seems to be the best price. I ordered one yesterday and it is due to come today.

I didn't know about the Amazon price promise thing or that you can collect nectar points.

I have also been after some battle wheels. Argos were offering them at £20 compared to everywhere else at £35. Argos were out of stock but could be reserved for collection today. They sent me an email to say they were back in stock but now the are £30 :mad:
