Can anyone please confirm the new template that should be used? As I am extremely confused regarding this, thank you in advance.
You are on it! Just click on page 1 and scroll down to second post.
  • Thankyou :) can I just confirm where I submit this to do I do it via the MCOL or another way? As I am unsure of the correct thing to follow.

Yes, you submit via MCOL not email.  All the info is in the template defence thread.  If you need more info start your own thread but if you have one, continue on it.  This is an info ONLY thread.

Just submitted my defence, MCOL wouldnt let me submit with the speech marks " "  included in the template though which seemed bizarre - got an error message saying 'cant submit with characters < > "  ' and took me ages to realise they were referring to the 3 separate symbols. Changed double speech marks to single and away it went

Unless I missed something with my edits while I was away on holiday last week, the template now has no double speech marks.

Can I ask why the advice has changed from "email defence" to "don't email defence"?

I have 2 ongoing claims and the first one I have already submitted via email but now unsure which way to go for the second?

Revised (shortened) Template Defence now available that will now fit in the MCOL portal.  Ensures delivery to CNBC - hopefully bypasses their recent admin mess.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    1. People kept getting CCJs, as the CNBC is incapable of handling their emails properly.

    2. The old template defence was too old.

    3. The old template defence was too long.

    4. The old defence even got struck out twice.

For those of us who have ongoing cases where the defence was based on the "old defence" and has already been submitted, would you be so kind as to shed some light on why it was struck out in these two cases?

The judges just ordered a new defence before the cases could proceed. It wasn't a big deal but suggested it needed refreshing!
