PFS find an adviser
google
Adviserbook
Unbiased is now a lead generation site and includes FAs as well as IFAs. Most the IFAs I know don't sign up for unbiased any more.
Vouchedfor is expensive for firms to use. When they last attempted to get me to sign up, their cost was eye watering and it would have required an increase in fees. It seems many IFAs feel the same as there is hardly any in our county listed on Vouchedfor.1 -
Are you going to go to a new one, why don't you just transfer against the advice of this one?1
-
Your previous posts suggested you have had transfer advice and the advice was not to transfer. If this is the case, you should ask the IFA that gave the transfer advice to confirm that you have had it. Your existing scheme will usually have a specific form they want the IFA to complete. If they will not do so, you should complain to the FCA.
As a matter of interest, how much did you pay for the transfer advice?
With the form signed, you can transfer to a SIPP Provider that will access insistent clients - the technical term for for someone who wants to transfer despite advice to the contrary. AJ Bell is one such provider. Once the money is with AJ Bell, you can transfer it to any other registered pension scheme. You can do this yourself or via an IFA depending on what the scheme demands.
A personal recommendation is the best way to find an IFA, but you don't need one with the Pensions Transfer qualification if you have already had the advice. You are unlikely to receive different advice from another IFA.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -

I have contacted the DB pensions provider and i can request a new CETV which would provide a few more weeks breathing space to get it sorted (the original value expires mid march) so long as all complete and paid out mid May (and fingers crossed value similar).
I want the transfer to go to royal london , where my works one is , hence I cant do it myself . Never been through this process before so unsure what best way now. As mentioned the IFA agreed the transfer was favourable, it is his manager who has said No at the final stage .0 -
Do Royal London even accept DB transfers with a negative recommendation?0

Also been reading recently about CETVS going down, so let us know what yours changes to.
I wouldn't waste your time going to another Advisor, you clearly want to transfer against advice, so you why not become an insistent client, transfer to whoever, then put in your RL plan when you can.1 -

Will mention that this evening thanks0

RL will accept it if the adviser puts it through their agency and accepts liability for the recommendation to use RL and the investments. if the adviser wont do that, then RL won't accept it.1

If he says can’t do that then I’m just going to accept it’s not meant to be and dB it is0
