Mileage expenses on mortgage application

Hi
Hoping someone can clarify something for me
Im getting things together for a mortgage application in the near future but I’m having trouble navigating the rules around mileage expenses. I make 2 business trips a month which I pay out for fuel and then get reimbursed as mileage allowance. From what I gather I’m unable to declare the mileage allowance as income but as part of my outgoings, the lender will take into account the amount I spend on fuel. So even though I get this back plus additional to cover wear and tear, it will appear I have less disposable income than I actually have.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated

Very few lenders go through your application line by line to assess affordability. They usually work off ONS (standardised) figures. So theoretically you could do 10 miles a week or 100 and you would be treated the same with most lenders.
If you have gone to one of those lenders who manually assess everything, they would be asking how much YOU spend on fuel.
