Not really any help but Lowell tried to get a CCJ on me for an old Vanquis debt back in 2014. I sent in my defence and I never heard anything back since and nearly 6 years have past now. I have no CCJ from Lowell on my credit files either. No idea what happened but it seems they pulled out without notification.

The debt is question is well past the statute barred stage and dropped of my credit files well over a year ago too.

So just an update on this matter in case others will look for help. I have finally settled this case with Lowell for 20% of the full amount claimed. Although at first they pressed for full balance paid at £20/month, then £5/month, then asked for £2k lump payment, but I said no way Jose, we going to court or take 20% and they finally agreed. In the past I have already paid a bit over 10%, so in all they received ~£900. They have never sent an agreement and admitted they didn't have it and the docs they sent me were quite messy, even though they kept saying they can win in court with what they have. But my intention was always to partially settle, so I am satisfied with the way it ended.
