Natwest address to request copy of old signed agreement

Hi, I've been "chased" by so many collection agencies over the years to repay a loan that I have no recollection of from Natwest from 20+ years ago that apparently I was paying something back on as recently as 4 years ago. I've asked numerous times for a copy of the signed loan agreement before I agree to any repayments as I genuinely have no recollection of any loan. I've been told by the collection agency that I need to request this in writing, but they can't give me an address to send my request to other than to send it to them and they'll "sort it out".

I'd rather request this myself, but I can't find anything online. Does anyone know the address to send my request to?

    Hi chris27,
If the account is over 20 years old then I suggest you send a 'proveit' letter via Royal Mail to the DCA that is chasing you.  You should send them the "hybrid statute barred proveit" letter.   Click the link below to take you to the hybrid letter template:

The DCA is trying to fob you off chasing down address details.
You send the request, along with the statutory £1 payment to whoever is writing to you.

You only need to send this once, using a properly formatted written request, non compliance with that request renders the account unenforceable in court.

However, you say you don`t remember the debt as being yours, so a CCA request is not the right approach, the advice above from W2L is good.

Never speak to debt collectors on the phone, do everything in writing only.
