Hi all I’m new to this! I’m really hoping somebody can help me... I’m currently going through the process of getting a shared ownership property I applied for a mortgage and was given an offer, a few days later I received a form with various questions and one was who will occupy the property other than yourself so I put my partners name down and then they queried it and requested a credit check. He generally has not great credit and he is also self employed (business only has started recently) so it’s now caused us an issue and the mortgage company now seem un interested! I’m so upset because it’s me who is taking full responsibility I’m the one who can afford it it’s nothing to do with him... I feel like I now don’t stand a chance I brought so much stuff for the flat since the mortgage offer I as received and I generally don’t see any of it happening now! I really hope somebody can help me or give me some advice I’m a first time buyer so all of this is new to me!
