Mortgage gone to appeal

so we applied for a mortgage with Santander a week ago. It’s now gone to appeal as the underwriter found a phone bill on my husband report that was paid late in 2016 for £22! Our adviser said it’s worth going to appeal as it so small and long ago. 

Anyone had this and came out successfully? Absolutely gutted if it’s declined.

did your advisor ask for both your credit reports from all 3 providers before submitting?

Just Experian I think. We went straight to Santander as we’ve banked with them for years.

Are you sure that this is the real realson behind the decline?

Our adviser at Santander said that’s the reason. My husband has spoke to Experian and the phone company. They are marking it as settled. The adviser said we should go for appeal as it’s such a small amount and so long ago.

On the tracking link it doesn’t actually say declined.
