I have received my Halifax mortgage offer. My solicitor is now stating that they requested the

Redemption Statement from Halifax (made up to 28/02) at the end of Jan and twice since then. They claimed that they have not received them so I chased Halfiax who said it had been faxed (who uses fax still) twice. Solicitor has checked their electronic fax and confirm that still nothing received.
Hoping to exchange on Monday so hoping this does not delay it. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there no way Halifax can send PDF copies of these Redemption Statements to Solicitors?

Banks use fax because it's more secure than email, cheaper and faster than post, and less hassle than getting everyone to sign up to secure extranets.
Yes, redemption statements do tend to go "missing" no matter what method is used. Your solicitors will be used to chasing these things up, I wouldn't worry about it too much.0 -
Thanks - Apparently they have to request this statement in a portal rather than by telephone. I'm just hoping that it can be procured either today or tomorrow as I presume we cannot Exchange until the solicitor has it.
