Are we likely to get Pension credit

My wife is 74 and her current state pension is £77.32 a week but no other income. (She never madde enough contributions during her working life). I am 65 +8 months and I am due my pension of £140.90 from 6 March. I am not sure that my wife at least may be due for pension credit. I have a Forces pension which is £12k a year so I am thinking that I won't qualify because of this. We have less than £10k in savings but all the google sites I've looked at seem to go back a bit and we know that things change. I haven't yet called DWP as I want to be sure in some way that there is a chance or not before claiming. Anybody help in any way?

It may be worth using  some your wifes personel tax allowance and transfer it to yourself by using Marriage Allowance, this could save you £250 per year, check if it can be backdated as I am not sure about that.

    See https://www.ageuk.org.uk/globalassets/age-uk/documents/factsheets/fs48_pension_credit_fcs.pdf
PC would be calculated on joint income.
At the moment, it seems that you  already have joint  income in excess of the standard minimum guarantee  and it will be well in excess by the time your SP is added.
Read the above factsheet for full details of standard and enhanced amounts where certain benefits are being claimed.
