Help!! Reclaim Mortgage interest rate?

Trusted mortgage have told me a solicitor wants to reclaim around £24,000 of my Halifax mortgage taken out in 2006 because they are saying that Halifax charged me too much interest. They have passed the information onto a no win no fee solicitor who will take 31%. this is not something I've heard about! Has anybody else? and is this something that I can claim myself without having to pay such a large fee? Your help is much appreciated thank you in advance

take a look at the thread here

I will just add that Halifax identified an issue a few years back that verified that over payments were made. It was found to be pennies per borrower. They repaid £20 to all those affected without the need for people to raise a complaint.

Have a look at these reviews.

Note - not one of the many positive ones mentions anything about actually getting anything back, and the reason there are so many positives is revealed in the negatives reviews. Each mug they sign up is encouraged to post positive reviews on the promise of having their claim prioritised.
