Bankruptcy, OR bank Accounts.

HI:

I'm considering declaring BR. I need to know if I d not declare all my bank accounts to the OR, do they have any means of finding out which banks I have accounts with ?
Is there like a central database of bank account numbers that they can access to discover such information ?
I hope someone here knows the answer to this .

You would be sensible to be honest and open with the O.R.
They can access anything they need to and go back as far as they like

I understand your advice, but my question remains unanswered. Can the OR discover where you may have accounts ?

It’s not the OR that freezes your bank account, it's the banks themselves.

Yes, the OR can discover where you have bank accounts. As you have been advised, lying to the OR is very unwise.

Just had email saying bankruptcy has been approved, do I open new basic bank account now or wait until I've had my interview with the official receiver.

Thanks sourcrates, any suggestions on the best bank/building societies to go with, my accounts at the minute are Santander & Monzo, I do owe Santander though.

Nationwide were quite decent to me, they give you contactless apple and Android pay. Other banks will doubtless offer the same.
