Nationwide hard credit search

Hi there,
My husband and I applied for a Nationwide mortgage through a broker, and we recieved a text on friday last week saying an offer was being issued.
My issue is, I have no hard search showing on any of my credit reports. My broker says not to worry as they will have done all of their checks before issuing the offer, however I have a default which I paid in full on my credit report that is due to fall off at the beginning of next year.
I am panicking that they are going to whip this offer away when they finally get around to doing a search.
Has anyone had any experience of this? I would have thought a search would be done well before now..

It has. It just doesn't appear instantly or on all versions of your credit file. Give it a few weeks and see if it eventually appears.

  • Thanks so much King street, I thought they showed up instantly, hence my panic.

    They can. Just not always.

  • Ive waited 6 weeks for the search to show up on my credit report checks before. I get alerts to let me know
  • Ah that is good, I feel a lot better now. Glad I posted! The paperwork came through the post today from Nationwide aswell which has settled my nerves too 😁
