Caution on house

I have a caution on my house from 1994 from Barclays in my ex's name. I am remortgaging to pay off the interest only mortgage with my partner of 20 years. I paid the money that Barclays asked for to my solicitor 2 years ago and they paid Barclays electronically for me, to remove the caution. Recently, because of the remortgage, we found the caution is still there. No one at Barclays seems to be willing to help...passing the buck...fobbing my solicitor off...help! What can I do, please?

You have proof you paid your solicitor the money, the solicitors have proof they sent the money.
Your solicitor needs to escalate it with Barclays and not stand for being fobbed off.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
