Dental implants

I've decided after many years of having 4 missing teeth that i finally want to take the plunge and go for at least 3 implants this year. The 4th missing is right out the way from smiling so It doesn't bother me that much.
I don't mind going abroad, I've already got a rough price of 1600 Euro from Portugal each. Of course with flights and accommodation over 3 or so trips it'll quickly rack up!
I don't really want to go over 3k (pounds) to get them all sorted. I have a feeling I will need a bone graft as one missing tooth is a front incissor and it was removed 15+ years ago. I am in my 30's, so Im sure I will be a OK candidate.

Any recommendations? where to go? how much they charge? what type of implant to go for..etc

Any advice much appreciated.

There is plenty of advice on here if you use the search function and terms like implants abroad dental tourism etc.

I'm fed up of repeating myself

take the risk if you want to and can afford the flights back to get any problems sorted out
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • I have had 7 implants and 3 new crowns done and needed extensive bone grafting. I used a UK implant clinic recommended by my dentist and although the process took over two years, I got an amazing result.
The implant clinic gave me an estimated cost to start with and I paid by installments to spread the cost.
You have to commit to maintaining high standard of dental cars and a good dental routine throughout and afterwards. Dental checks and hygienist twice a year are necessary too.
    Expensive? - yes - I paid £18k.
Worth it? - yes!!!! Every penny

You get what you pay for

Newly retired and looking forward to

Ouch. hmmm, i don't see teeth to be as important in my life to be 18k down, especially when that 18k could be a deposit on a house. I'd spend maximum 5k to sort 3 or 4 out and a couple of crowns/vaneers. So, I guess, abroad is the only option for me.

Or put the £5k into your deposit pot and leave your teeth alone?
