after having several quotes for french doors from others
a company owner came down to my home, to give me a quotation on french doors
french front door and rear normal door
together with windening the step as well as tiling the internal side where the french doors would be fitted, plus doing the front 15ft 12 ft area of the front door, blocking paving quoted me £2,500
any one heard of
sp home transformations from chorley area??
thanks

I would check with a trade association to see if they are a registered company such as the Glass and Glazing Federation of which FENSA is a part of. Other than that you only have other peoples word.
I personally have used the same supplier for the last 9 years as he came highly recommended and has never let myself or anyone else I know down.Gordon Brown ate my hamster0 -

One thing that has been bugging me though chiefs is that the same company is doing the associated works too and I would want to ask if the person doing the block paving and widening of the steps is the same person fitting the windows. Unless you are lucky that the tradesperson is very good and multiskilled, I would be a bit concerned as to the quality of the block paving etc when finished unless it is a different person doing the work. I have always had a builder do all the brickwork and building with my 'window chap' just doing the windows without them crossing each others skills.
But then I am probably too cautious.Gordon Brown ate my hamster0 -
