Error in lump sum payment

Hi everyone.. I've sent a lump sum payment off to my halifax mortgage..however I didn't sent my mortgage account number with it..any idea what will happen ? Thanks in advance

Just call them up and explain what you have done. Give them account number. They will be able to apply the payment. No biggie.1
