Advice needed on council tax

Hi guys i am in a right pickle with the council tax, i am a full time student and i need to pay my fees, my fiance works full time but he makes enough for the bills and thats it. We had the bailifs at the door today and they have given us 5 days to pay the full amount owed which is £522.

As a student you should be exemptions have you looked into this?
Are you claiming any benefits, and again have you looked into this?
Is the property rented and if so is it a rented property?
Which firms of bailiff?
Finally, do you have the name of the actual bailiff. His name should be on the letter. If so, could you send me details by private message only.
