    That's because his professional body/regulator doesn't start from that position, which the FCA does.

    In any event, a good solicitor will try to stop you buying something that is clearly problematic.

    As I said in the initial post, it's difficult to avoid the conclusion that the FCA want to see the DB transfer advice market effectively disappear. But shoot them, not the messenger if you have a problem with that.
