Wedding Planning - wedding band advice

Hi everyone! I'm getting married next January in Scotland and am trying to convince the oh to get a live wedding band but he says it's too expensive and not worth it.  Anyone got any advice on how to convince him otherwise and any band recommendations?  Need the dance floor packed all night!  Thanks!

Hi AuroraXBorealis, congrats!  Your fiance shouldn't take too much convincing - a live band literally makes the wedding.  Depending on what you're looking for, I'd say the safest bet is to go through an agency as they're insured and have a lot of variety in terms of bands.  If you're looking for wedding bands Glasgow / Edinburgh area or just a band that will cover the whole of Scotland, check these guys out www.musicforscotland.co.uk/acts/sleekitbeasties
I've seen them at a wedding and the guests wouldn't get off the dancefloor even when the buffet was served (that takes some doing).  They have some amazing videos online and you can see the bands live too at a showcase which really helps.  Hope this helps!
