I don't understand this at all. I do have a 123 account but as far as I know rates are not included in cashback, unless you enlighten me, I could well be wrong.

Yes, I have got cash back from Santander. My rates are over £3000 so it's worthwhile. :-)

Thanks for reply, before I wasn't aware that you could get cashback for rates, Just wondering if I paid my rates in full around £850 or so, just like to get it cleared in one payment each year and I do get 4% discount for doing that from Land and Property Services, would Santander  still give me 1% if I paid through 123 account?
I haven't received a rate bill yet, have they been issued?

I'm afraid Santander now cap their cashback to a max of £5 :-(

Then assuming your rates bill is over £1k you're better paying with an Amazon credit card (or similar) for 0.5% back in Amazon vouchers for the whole payment
