Various Mortgage related questions from newbie to house buying

Hello all.

Firstly let me thank you all for helping me clear my finacial life up! Without the support and advice from thia forum i wouldnt be in the position that I am now in.
I have various Mortgage related questions.

My wife and i have saved up approximately 20k
we are also being gifted a further 25k from my parents.
we have a joint income of Approx £4400 a month (Lord knows where it goes)
I have debt (CC) of £2500
and she has £3500
we are paying this off asap.
we both have a great credit history (files checked)
We are looking at properties in the region of 230k - 250k

My questions are as follows
On my bank statement, (for the Mortgage application) I have gambling payments a total of about £30 over  a 2-3 month period. £10 to paddypower (i usually put a couple of quid on the boxing) and one Lottery ticket a week if i remember to play. I recently read a thread that suggest this could be a problem. Should i be worried?

Secondly. With regards to switching mortgages after the initial introductory period, is this a simmilar principle to swithcing credit cards? and moving a balance over, you move it over and get another introductory period?
given the information provided i assume there would be a decent lender for us out there somehwere? Does anyone think we would have a problem getting one?

£30 over 2 months is fine. I think I do more than that (also on the boxing  ).
It is similar, but more to it - bank statements, payslips etc being checked by the new lender. It generally takes around 4-6 weeks to switch lenders.

From what you have said, all sounds like it should be fine.
