Platform mortgages

Hi , has anyone recently applied for a mortgage with platform? We've been with them for 2 years, our fixed rate is coming to an end but wanted to add a further advance on. They have been Awful from the very start, changing appointments (all via phone) taking days to get back to me, various phone appointments with the same thing being said and not getting  to a further stage is all driving me crazy. 

And to top it off after the initial phone appointment regarding finances the lady failed to tell us that we need 6 months left on a contract and also factored in 100% of guaranteed overtime, to be told 3 weeks later at the official interview that they need the 6 months and only half of the additional money is taken. I'm given a direct contact to speak to after contract is sorted but nobody can get hold of this lady and so the process starts AGAIN! And it's upto 5 working days to even book said appointment. Feeling really frustrated, anyone had a similar situation?

Not us, but a friend of mine has very recently experienced almost exactly what you’re describing. Everything done in a very old fashioned way with weeks of waiting between every step. Sound like a nightmare, might be worth looking elsewhere? Get a decent broker, worth their weight in gold from our experience.

I am with Platform but went through a broker, all they asked for at the time was more payslips and bank statements which we did and didn’t seem any problem.
