Hey everyone, hope your day is going great.
I am wanting to start a small side business doing website design online, designing logos etc after work to increase my income. Especially after work, i find it very hard to stay motivated and positive and just want to watch TV all night. I am passionate about this side business, but does anyone have any tips to stay motivated and positive to complete a few hours work at night on my side business. I have tried exercising a bit on a night, but nothing seems to really help give me that boost i really need.

Set a fixed time to sit down and do it.
So say something like 9pm - 10.30pm youll sit at the desk and work. Dont get up from the desk until 10.30. If you know youre sat their for an hour and half youll start doing work. If you startt with the notion of doing a few hours each evening but dont set the time aside youll not get off the sofa.
Ultimately nothing changes until you change something. Magic boosts dont exist, just need to grind away at it.0 -
If you can't stay motivated, it suggests your heart isn't really in this new venture, despite what you claim. Either forget the whole idea or start practising some self discipline. Try not switching on the TV when you come home from workIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

You need a routine
What time do you normally get home from your day job? how long do you want to spend on this side gig, per day? what time do you normally go to bed/get up?
Something is going to have to go here, and really the TV is the no brainer
you could make it more relaxing by putting on some musicRita, get your head, off my leg..0 -
i struggled with a similar issue and isolation and distraction removal is the only option
my personal instagram facebook and snapchat accounts were first to go as they are massive drains on attention
television for one hour only
you have to be strict with yourself

I would do the opposite - instead of doing it after work, I'd get up earlier and do it before work. I read somewhere that those exercising in the morning before work are more likely to continue long term. I'd expect this to be the same for working.
