We stopped using Precise a few years back as we found they were declining all of our cases that fit criteria.
I would be interested to hear how you get on as it could be a sign they have changed. I know my comment above wont help you but honestly the last time we used them was probably 2015-16 and a lot can change in that time.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I still think there are other options but you will start to see the rates going up.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Update: Broker has now suggested Aldermore rather than Precise today as they offer a 40 year term rather than 35.
She said this would be more beneficial to us so she applied for a DIP with them, that has been sent for review due to something about gifted deposit, now wont hear anything until Monday.
Just seems to be a string of no's at the moment.
Having read up a little on Aldermore, I feel like they will laugh us out of the room with our credit history.
Any one used them recently?0 -
@Toodlepips
how much are you trying to borrow?
Are you paying nursery fees?
Do you have any loans / credit card debts etc, aside from what you have mentioned with the defaults?

It is a help to buy property at £197,500 30% deposit including the 20% equity loan.
Total cost of mortgage = £138,250
No nursery fees, no other loans or credit cards. Just the ones mentioned.
Our deposit has been gifted by parents, we have the supporting documents for that.1 -
Have you had any joy Toodlepips0

Our application was put in with Precise on Monday and waiting to hear back now. Vida and Aldermore have both said no so Precise is our last option!0

I'm not sure why you think precise are the last chance as there are other adverse mortgage companies, the three you know of are the common ones.
Where did you find your broker?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Apologies, it was the impression we had got from the broker that precise was the last option. It was one Barratt’s wanted us to go with, new homes mortgage helpline or something like that.0
