  • Reading up a little more on recent developments it looks like a Debt Relief Order might be an option depending if it is below £20,000 or not. : taxaid org uk/guides/taxpayers/tax-debt/bankruptcy

  • The previuos post link will also show you when HMRC don't usually bother to make someone Bankrupt and when it's best to do it yourself too.
    I see too that clarkoliver co uk has a free consultation about Insolvancy so it maybe worth askign at least!
    Maybe your Bank too has a Legal Helpline where you can also ask for help. (I can't post links for the moment as they can't link my old account with my new account as MSE have changed their website-  so add in the dots!)

    And there are further numbers and help on both those websites. Really hope that you can get sorted.
